Biography

Kristen Hege, MD, is a board-certified hematology and medical oncology physician and a Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of California San Francisco in San Francisco. She is Senior Vice President of Early Clinical Development in Hematology/Oncology and Cell Therapy at Bristol-Myers Squibb in San Francisco.

Dr Hege earned her medical degree at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. She then completed residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, followed by fellowship in hematology/oncology at University of California San Francisco.

She has published at least 34 peer-reviewed articles. Dr Hege’s clinical research focus includes blood cancers and other blood diseases with a particular emphasis on immune and gene therapies to treat cancer and HIV.
