Biography

Leora Horn, MD, MSc, FRCPC, is a board-certified medical oncologist and currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at Vanderbilt University and Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program at Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

A respected leader in the lung cancer community, Dr Horn is a member of the Cancer Education Council and Leadership Development Program for the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer Panel for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, and the Thoracic Oncology Core Committee for the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, and she serves as Clinical Director of the Thoracic Oncology Research Program and Assistant Vice Chair for Faculty Development at Vanderbilt University.

Dr Horn is a recipient of the Cancer Clinical Investigator Team Leadership Award given by the National Cancer Institute (2015) and is an active member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group. She has authored or coauthored at least 67 peer-reviewed journal articles and 10 books and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for at least 9 peer-reviewed journals. Dr Horn’s clinical research focus includes thoracic oncology and lung cancer, with a particular focus on non-small cell lung cancer.
